Led Zeppelin, hands down, is one of the most influential rock bands for any of my Byrdbored rock favorites from 1981 forward. They are definitely one of the bands that I am going back and listening to their stuff very closely now. Let me know your thoughts on the band and any interesting stories you may have. I know music fans have to have some!!!
The year was 1985. Hall & Oates were well on their way to having the #1 song of the year on Byrdbored with “Out Of Touch”. Their album, “Big Bam Boom”, would also spend four weeks on top of Byrdbored and finish 1985 as the #3 album of the year. “Big Bam Boom” has been certified 5x platinum on Byrdbored and is currently ranked #147 all-time.
TobyMac would spend this very week in 2007 at #1 with “Boomin'”, which would be certified gold and finish 2007 as the #27 song of the year.
Has it really been 16 years? Unbelievably yes! “Somewhere I belong” was the #1 Byrdbored song this very week in 2003, and it spent three weeks on top, while finishing 2003 as the #20 song of the year.
Brooks & Dunn were announced recently as one of the latest Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Byrdbored definitely agrees as the guys were part of the 2011 class making it into the Byrdbored Nest of Fame. Brooks & Dunn were one of the frontrunners in the country mainstream invasion in the 1990’s scoring seven overall Byrdbored #1 songs and 13 #1 country songs (which have spent 43 total weeks at #1). The duo also have tallied five #1 Byrdbored albums. Congrats to Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks!!! You deserve it!
