Darius Rucker Leads Certifications For The Week Ending November 20, 2021

Darius Rucker began his solo Country career in 2008 with his “Learn To Live” album being released September 16th. The album had immediate impact on Country radio with three (#1) Country hits. The album hit (#1) on the Vault 60 Albums Chart a few months ago and also produced the (#2) Vault hit, “History In The Making”. As of this week, “Learn To Live” has been certified 2x Platinum on Byrdbored. Rucker also scores a new peak for his song, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”, which moves to (#7) on the Vault Singles Chart. With Darius set for a new album in February 2022, I would expect his older music to continue to be on a roll in the coming months.

MercyMe move to (#2) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart with “Whiplash” this week and in the process score their 16th Gold single on Byrdbored. The group is celebrating their 20th year as a band this year which means the guys will be strong contenders for the Nest Of Fame. “Whiplash” is the Christian Contemporary group’s fourth Byrdy Dozen hit from their former (#2) album, “Inhale (Exhale)”, which has been certified Platinum.

“You Dropped A Bomb On Me” Goes Diamond For The Gap Band To Lead Certifications For The Week Ending November 13, 2021

In the wake of the passing of Ronnie Wilson, one of The Gap Band’s classic hits, “You Dropped A Bomb On Me”, has been certified Diamond. The song has spent a total of five weeks on top of Byrdbored including a week at (#1) on the Vault Singles Chart last week. It is one of the most known and iconic hits of the early 1980’s and now it enjoys Diamond status as it should.

Another iconic hit from the 1980’s also hits Diamond status this week as ZZ Top’s classic “Sharp Dressed Man” moves to (#12) on the Vault Singles Chart. The song originally hit (#1) in 1984, but continues to receive plays since the passing of bassist Dusty Hill in late July. ZZ Top continues to move up the all-time artists listing and is currently ranked as the (#76) artist in Byrdbored history.

OneRepublic land the (#1) Vault Single with “Love Runs Out” this week and in the process earn Platinum status for the song. The hit receives a boost from the group’s One Night Live In Malibu concert release with the band performing many of their past hits along with songs from their new (#4) album, “Human”. “Love Runs Out” originally peaked at (#3) for Ryan Tedder and the guys in 2014.

Whitesnake score their fourth Platinum album as “Restless Heart” spends a third week on top of the Vault Albums Chart. The album was released for the first time in America three weeks ago, but was originally released in 1996 elsewhere. The Rock band’s other Platinum albums are “Whitesnake” at 6x Platinum, “Flesh & Blood” at 5x Platinum and “Slip Of The Tongue” at 4x Platinum.

Jason Aldean has a busy week as his new single, “If I Didn’t Love You”, featuring Carrie Underwood hits (#1) on the SongByrd 60 and is certified Gold. Aldean’s new album, “Macon”, is also certified Gold hitting (#1) on the Albums Chart. “If I Didn’t Love You” is Aldean’s 33rd Gold single, while it is Underwood’s 10th Gold single. Aldean now has nine Gold albums with his self-titled debut being his lone album to not be certified.

Ed Sheeran Leads Certifications For The Week Ending November 6, 2021

Ed Sheeran spends his third week on top of the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart with “Shivers” and in the process is certified Platinum. The song is quickly becoming one of his biggest Byrdbored hits and could be strong enough to continue it’s run on top next week. Sheeran’s new album, “Equals”, also becomes his first-ever (#1) album and is certified Gold this week. The album does have some potential for multiple hit singles down the road which could reap benefits well into 2022 for Sheeran.

John Mayer lands his 15th Gold single this week as “Wild Blue” leaps from (#5) to (#2) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart. The song is the fourth hit single from Mayer’s former (#1) album, “Sob Rock”. He landed the (#1) hit, “Last Train Home” earlier this year, while the (#2) hit, “New Light”, peaked in 2018. Another hit, “Carry Me Away”, peaked at (#11) in 2019.

The Christian Contemporary duo from Nashville known as For King & Country score their third Gold single this week as “God Only Knows” moves up four notches to (#2) on the Vault Singles Chart. Joel & Luke Smallbone landed a (#3) Vault Single earlier in 2021 with “Amen” and also hit (#5) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart with “Relate” this year. The duo is set to release a new album in March 2022.

Daughtry Lead Certifications For Week Ending October 30, 2021

After spending three weeks on top of the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart with “The Victim”, Daughtry dropped to (#2) two weeks ago. However, “The Victim” spends a fifth straight week as the top Rock song, and it has been certified Platinum this week. The hit is the Rock group’s 16th Platinum (or better) certified song on Byrdbored.

Santana debuted at (#1) the week ending August 21, 2021 with “Move” which became the guitar legends fourth overall (#1) on Byrdbored. The hit which includes Rob Thomas and American Authors briefly dropped from the Byrdy Dozen, but re-entered once Santana’s new album, “Blessings And Miracles”, debuted at (#9). This week “Move” becomes Santana’s third Platinum certified song and currently sits at (#9) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart.

Whitesnake finally releases their 1996 album, “Restless Heart”, in the United States this week. The album debuts at (#1) on the Vault 60 Albums Chart to become the Rock group’s fourth (#1) album. Daughtry’s “Dearly Beloved” Leads Certifications For Week Ending October 23, 2021

With another week on top of the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart, Daughtry’s “Dearly Beloved” hits 2x Platinum status. It is the fifth non-consecutive week on top for the album joining four other Daughtry albums to spend at least five weeks at (#1). The last Daughtry album, “Cage To Rattle”, is the only release from the group to not hit the top peaking at (#3). The album has given the guys a resurgence late in the year as Daughtry also leads the SongByrd 60 Artists Chart for a fifth week.

Skillet marked their 25th anniversary as a band last week and scored their 20th (#1) Byrdbored hit, “Surviving The Game”, the week ending September 18, 2021. The hit spent two weeks on top and has spent six weeks as the top Christian Contemporary song to be certified Platinum. “Surviving The Game” is the Rock group’s 22nd Platinum (or better) single in Byrdbored history.

Alicia Keys continues to have a great run on top of the Vault Singles Chart with her debut hit single, “Fallin’”. The 2001 song celebrates it’s 20th anniversary spending three weeks at (#1) and in the process is certified Platinum. The tune could actually be strong enough to continue on top next week which could help the classic Pop/R&B track hit Diamond by the end of 2021.

OneRepublic has a great week as their new album, “Human”, has been certified Gold. The album is the group’s fourth Gold (or better) certified effort. The album has produced three top five hits with “Run” and “Didn’t I” hitting (#2) while “Rescue Me” peaked at (#5). The band also receives a Gold certification for their debut single, “Apologize”, which moves up to (#3) on the Vault Singles Chart which is a new peak. The song originally peaked at (#5) in 2007.

The Foo Fighters continue their strong 2021 campaign as their 2007 album, “Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace”, remains at (#3) on the Vault Albums Chart and is certified Gold. Ed Sheeran Leads Certifications For Week Ending October 16, 2021

Ed Sheeran moves up to (#3) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart with “Shivers” and in the process has been certified Gold. The hit is the follow-up to his (#4) Byrdbored song, “Bad Habits”. Sheeran’s new album, “=“, is set to drop October 29, 2021 and could help drive “Shivers” to (#1) in the coming weeks.

Kool & The Gang also receive a Gold certification this week as their 1983/1984 hit single, “Joanna”, moves up to (#3) on the Vault Singles Chart. The song was originally released in late 1983, but peaked on most charts in 1984. The (#3) position is a new peak for “Joanna” on Byrdbored, and the group could score their third Vault (#1) single of 2021 if the hit can move to the top. Both “Tonight” and “Misled” hit Vault (#1) earlier this year.

For more details on Byrdbored certifications check out the Certification Cage page. It details all the songs and albums that have been certified since the beginning of the site in 2019.

Dua Lipa Leads Certifications For Week Ending October 9, 2021

Dua Lipa’s sophomore album, “Future Nostalgia”, continues to roll spending a 40th consecutive week in the top five on the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart. The album has spent eight of those weeks at (#1) and is certified 6x Platinum this week. The album has produced four Byrdbored hits including three Platinum songs, “Levitating”, “Break My Heart” and “Hallucinate”. Lipa might score a fifth top ten hit from “Future Nostalgia” in the near future as “Cool” moves to (#17) on the SongByrd 60.

The Newsboys have had a great couple of weeks with their new album, “Stand”, entering the top ten on the Albums Chart at (#8), while it also inspires some plays from their Vault hits of the past. Their 2010 album, “Born Again”, hits the 4x Platinum mark after hitting (#1) on the Vault Albums Chart last week. The album is their biggest and is the first album to feature Michael Tait from DC Talk on lead vocals.

The Foo Fighters score their 7th Platinum single as “The Pretender” earns the certification this week. The song spent the last two weeks on top of the Vault Singles Chart, but falls to (#3) as of this week. “The Pretender” is the Rock band’s fifth (#1) hit on Byrdbored.

Old Dominion land their first-ever (#1) Byrdbored album this week as “Time, Tequila & Therapy” debuts on top of the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart to be certified Gold. The Country group’s last self-titled album has been certified 2x Platinum and peaked at (#2) for seven weeks in 2020.

Alicia Keys’ 2001 debut album, “Songs In A Minor”, has had a resurgence on Byrdbored after hitting the 20-year mark since it’s original release. The album hits a new peak at (#1) on the Vault Albums Chart to be certified Gold this week. The album’s first single, “Fallin’”, was certified Gold last week and moves to (#1) on the Vault Singles Chart which could help it move to Platinum status in the near future.

Darius Rucker is having a fantastic run at the top of both the SongByrd 60 and Vault SongByrd 60 Singles Charts. His current hit single, “My Masterpiece”, jumps from (#6) to (#2) and is certified Gold, while Rucker’s 2009 release, “History In The Making”, also moves to (#2) on the Vault Singles Chart and in the process hits Gold status. The hits give Rucker four solo Gold singles to date. Rucker, of course, is also the lead singer of the Pop group Hootie & The Blowfish.

Wolfgang Van Halen lands his second Gold single as “You’re To Blame” moves from (#5) to (#3) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart. His debut album, “Mammoth WVH”, has already scored a (#1) hit with “Don’t Back Down” which has also been certified Gold. The debut album has been certified 3x Platinum on Byrdbored.

Forest Blakk continues his incredible run in 2021 with his fourth Gold (or better) single as his latest, “Fall Into Me”, earns the certification. The new hit has peaked at (#2) and could give Blakk his third overall (#1) song in the near future.

For more details on Byrdbored certifications check out the Certification Cage page. It details all the songs and albums that have been certified since the beginning of the site in 2019.

Daughtry, Dua Lipa Lead Certifications For Week Ending October 2, 2021

Daughtry are having quite the comeback on Byrdbored with their new album, “Dearly Beloved”. The only reason it is considered a comeback is due to the band’s last album, “Cage To Rattle”, which was the first of their albums to not chart at (#1). It peaked at (#3) which most artists would love to see, but when a group’s first four albums hit the top the expectation is always to be (#1).

“Dearly Beloved” is a definite return to at least the “Break The Spell” period for the band which was their third album released in 2011. The new album debuted on top of Byrdbored and has now easily spent three weeks at (#1) to be certified Platinum. With (276) song plays in just three weeks, it is safe to say Daughtry has returned to form and are back to feed my high expectations of the band. “Dearly Beloved” makes it six for six for Daughtry as all their albums have been certified Platinum or Multi-Platinum.

A big part of those (276) song plays is “The Victim” which moves from (#4) to (#1) on the SongByrd 60 and in the process is certified Gold. It is the 17th overall (#1) for Daughtry and is one of the Rock tracks on “Dearly Beloved” that is helping to return Daughtry to the top. “The Victim” is the 35th Gold or better single for Daughtry since they began in 2006.

Dua Lipa continues her phenomenal year in 2021 with another Platinum single this week. “Hallucinate” spent two weeks on top of Byrdbored the first two weeks of September and hits the Platinum mark this week. It is Lipa’s third Platinum single of the year following “Break My Heart” and “Levitating” which is her biggest hit to date. Lipa’s current album, “Future Nostalgia” is also closing in on 6x Platinum spending eight weeks at (#1) and (39) total weeks in the top five on the Albums Chart.

OneRepublic released their major label debut album, “Dreaming Out Loud”, in 2007. The album produced two top five hit singles in “Apologize” and “Stop And Stare”, and this week the album is certified Gold. “Dreaming Out Loud” becomes the band’s third Gold or better album. OneRepublic’s new album, “Human”, definitely has a chance to make it four, however, as it currently sits at (#4) on the Albums Chart. The group’s 2013 “Native” album is their highest certified release at Platinum.

Alicia Keys broke out in 2001 with her debut hit song, “Fallin’”, which is celebrating it’s 20th year in 2021. The song has seen a resurgence on the Byrdbored Vault Singles Chart and moves to (#2) on the Vault SongByrd 60 this week. In the process, “Fallin’” is certified Gold and becomes her first song to do so on Byrdbored.

For more details on Byrdbored certifications check out the Certification Cage page. It details all the songs and albums that have been certified since the beginning of the site in 2019.

“Owner Of A Lonely Heart” Goes Diamond To Lead Certifications For The Week Ending September 25, 2021

“Owner Of A Lonely Heart” is the 1984 smash hit by Yes which originally spent three weeks on top of Byrdbored and this week has been certified Diamond. The hit song has re-entered Byrdbored on the Vault Singles Chart in recent weeks and has now spent a total of (15) weeks in the Byrdy Dozen. “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” also has spent seven weeks as the top Rock song and three weeks as the top Hot AC (Top 40) song. “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” is now the 282nd Diamond certified song in Byrdbored history which hits 41 years of charting songs the end of 2021.

Darius Rucker hit the top of the Vault Albums Chart this week with his debut Country album, “Learn To Live”. In the process, the album is certified Platinum. The album was originally released in 2008 and peaked at (#3). Rucker’s new hit single, “My Masterpiece”, is crowned the top Country song of the week which is causing interest in his Vault music. “Learn To Live” could have a decent run on the Vault Albums Chart in the coming months.

Ayron Jones is having quite the run with his solo debut album, “Child Of The State”, which is certified Gold this week. The album has peaked at (#5) for four weeks and spent a total of (17) weeks in the top ten on the Albums Chart. The album has already produced a (#7) hit single, “Mercy”, and should have the possibility of many other hits on into 2022.

Click pic for more info about Ayron Jones

Other song certifications this week include a couple of Christian Contemporary artists. Jeremy Camp spends a second week at (#3) with “When You Speak” on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart and in the process is certified Gold. It is Camp’s 30th Gold (or better) single. For King & Country peaked at (#5) for two weeks with their latest single, “Relate”, which is certified Gold this week. The hit single is the duo’s second Gold certified song.

The only other song certification is Tremonti’s “Dust” which blasts from (#8) to (#2) on the Vault Singles Chart and is certified Gold. The song is the title track to Tremonti’s 2016 album. The group is technically Mark Tremonti’s “solo band” and usually release music in between Alter Bridge releases. Mark Tremonti is, of course, also known for being the lead guitarist for Creed.

Daughtry Leads Certifications For The Week Ending September 18, 2021

On November 21, 2006 one of the biggest albums in Byrdbored history was released. Chris Daughtry was fresh off his fourth-place finish on American Idol (absolutely insane), and he was set to release his band’s self-titled debut album. I knew I loved his voice on American Idol, but even I had no clue what the debut album would do.

It has almost been fifteen years since it’s release, and I still love listening to the entire album. As of this week, the album re-enters Byrdbored at (#1) on the Vault Albums Chart and in the process is certified 19x Platinum. The Diamond album is currently ranked as the (#5) album in Byrdbored history spending (27) weeks at (#1) and (111) in the Byrdy Dozen.

“Daughtry” produced five (#1) hit singles. “It’s Not Over” spent seven weeks on top, “Over You” spent five weeks at (#1) followed by “Home” which spent three weeks, “What About Now” spent four weeks and “Crashed” spent one week on top. It also contains five other (#2) hits in “Breakdown”, “Feels Like Tonight”, “All These Lives”, “Gone” and “Used To”. “All I Want” featuring Slash on guitar also hit (#3) making eleven top five hits from the debut.

It still sounds fresh today, and it will always be a five Byrd Beak album that will be nearly impossible to top. However, Daughtry’s new album, “Dearly Beloved”, is most definitely a pleasant return for the band and debuts at (#1) on the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart this week. With the debut on top, “Dearly Beloved” is certified Gold and gives the band six albums that are certified Gold or better. Daughtry is currently ranked as the (#12) artist in Byrdbored history.

Click pic for more info on Daughtry

Much like 2006 was a special year for Daughtry, it was also special for Skillet. Although it certainly wasn’t their debut album, the “Comatose” album was released on October 3, 2006 and marked the turning point in the Rock band’s career. It spawned nine Byrdy Dozen hits including the (#1) hits, “Rebirthing”, “Whispers In The Dark” and “Comatose”. “Comatose” is also one of the (43) Diamond certified albums in Byrdbored history currently ranked as the (#40) album in Byrdbored history.

Fifteen years later, Skillet is still going strong and score their 20th overall (#1) single with “Surviving The Game”. The first single from their new album, “Dominion”, is certified Gold this week giving the band their 33rd Gold certified song. 2022 will be the 25th anniversary for the band Skillet, and they definitely have the Rock resume to teach anyone how to “survive the game”.

John Mayer scores his 9th (#1) single this week as “Perfectly Lonely” hits the top of the Vault Singles Chart. 2021 is Mayer’s 20th year and he appears to be on his way to the Nest Of Fame if he continues landing (#1) hits like “Perfectly Lonely”. Mayer has earned (14) Gold certified singles and all eight of his albums have been certified Gold or better.

The Foo Fighters continue a resurgence in 2021 and this week the rock act receives their 8th Gold certified single as “The Pretender” moves up to (#2) on the Vault Singles Chart. 2021 has been a banner year for the band scoring a double Platinum (#1) album, “Medicine At Midnight”, which includes the (#1) hit, “Cloudspotter” and (#2) hit, “No Son Of Mine”. “The Pretender” was originally released in 2007, but the (#2) chart position this week is a new peak for the song.

For more details on Byrdbored certifications check out the Certification Cage page. It details all the songs and albums that have been certified since the beginning of the site in 2019.

ZZ Top, Imagine Dragons Lead Certifications For The Week Ending September 11, 2021

Through last week there had been (280) Diamond certified singles in Byrdbored history. This week ZZ Top adds another to the list as “Rough Boy” hit the top of the Vault Singles Chart. To receive a Diamond certification a song has to earn (100) points or more based on the Byrdbored system (see Byrd Notes for more info). “Rough Boy” could continue to earn more points in the coming weeks and move up the all-time songs listing as it remains a strong Vault song and in solid rotation on J-BRD Radio of late.

Imagine Dragons hit the top of the Vault Albums Chart with their 2015 album, “Smoke & Mirrors”, which pushes the album to 6x Platinum to date. The album is really the one that made Imagine Dragons a household name on Byrdbored producing two (#1) hits. “I’m So Sorry” and “Friction”. It also contains two (#2) hits in “Hopeless Opus” and “Smoke & Mirrors”. “I Bet My Life” peaked at (#4) and “Shots” landed at (#10). Unlike most music fans who have “Radioactive” as their biggest Imagine Dragons hit, “I’m So Sorry” rocked Byrdbored for four weeks and spent three months in the Byrdy Dozen to currently be the band’s biggest hit.

Evanescence has had a re-birth this year with their new album, “The Bitter Truth”, which hit the top of Byrdbored for three weeks. The album has now been certified 2x Platinum. It is now the rock band’s fourth multi-platinum album with their debut album, “Fallen”, being their biggest certified Diamond at 11x Platinum to date. “The Bitter Truth” currently sits at (#11) on the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart.

OneRepublic grabs their first Platinum album this week as their 2013 release, “Native”, continues a run on the Vault Albums chart. The Vault album is receiving some interest due to the band’s new album, “Human”, which has peaked at (#4) so far. “Native” currently sits at (#9) on the Vault Albums Chart but has peaked at (#4) on Byrdbored. “Native” contains the (#3) Byrdbored hits, “Counting Stars” and “Love Runs Out.

With the debut of Jeremy Camp’s new album, “When You Speak”, at (#1) on Byrdbored, the album is certified Gold. It is Camp’s 12th (#1) album on Byrdbored and all have been certified Gold or better. Camp now takes over the lead with the most (#1) albums in Byrdbored history over Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Tim McGraw who all have eleven (#1) albums. Camp is currently ranked as the (#11) in Byrdbored history and is certainly headed for a first ballot Nest Of Fame induction in 2023.

Click pic for more info on Jeremy Camp

Other certifications this week are for the singles “Run” by One Republic and “Amen” from For King & Country. Both songs have been certified Gold. “Run” moves to (#2) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart this week and became OneRepublic’s eighth top five hit single all-time. “Amen” moves to (#3) on the Vault Singles Chart and has spent the last six weeks as the top Vault Christian Contemporary song.

For more details on Byrdbored certifications check out the Certification Cage page. It details all the songs and albums that have been certified since the beginning of the site in 2019.

Mammoth WVH Leads Certifications For The Week Ending September 4, 2021

When Wolfgang Van Halen announced a debut album, “Mammoth WVH”, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It is safe to say whatever expectation I did have for Wolfgang’s album, however, he has far exceeded it.

“Mammoth WVH” has now spent six non-consecutive weeks at (#1) on Byrdbored and has spent all (13) weeks on the Albums chart in the top two slots. The album has already produced a (#1) hit, “Don’t Back Down”, and has a second Byrdy Dozen hit, “You’re To Blame”, which moves from (#15) to (#10) on the SongByrd 60 Singles Chart this week.

The album has now been certified 3x Platinum and appears to be headed toward one of the top albums of 2021. I have said many times that it could be the best debut Rock album since Daughtry’s 2006 self-titled release. Since the “Daughtry” album is currently one of my top ten albums of all-time, that is high praise for Wolfgang. Although I don’t see as many huge hits for Wolfgang as Daughtry had on the debut, “Mammoth WVH” is still easily one of the best albums of 2021.

Click pic for more info on Mammoth WVH

This isn’t John Mayer’s first rodeo. In his roughly twenty years of music he has many musical highlights. He is most definitely on a short list of the best guitar players of his time and some would even say he is on the overall list of all-time guitar slingers.

As of this week, Mayer scores yet another Platinum or better album as “Sob Rock” hits the Platinum mark giving him six in total. His other two albums are Gold. “Sob Rock” spent two weeks on top of the SongByrd 60 Albums Chart and currently sits at (#3). The album has already produced a (#1) hit, “Last Train Home”, which spent four weeks on top. A new song, “Wild Blue”, moves from (#21) to (#18) on the Singles Chart this week.

When it comes to all-time guitarists, one is almost always mentioned. Stevie Ray Vaughan was taken away far too soon at the young age of 35. The 31st anniversary of his passing in a helicopter crash and his debut album with Double Trouble, “Texas Flood”, hit (#1) on the Vault Albums Chart last week.

The album has now been certified Platinum on Byrdbored and contains the (#1) Vault Single, “Pride And Joy”. Without a doubt, Stevie Ray Vaughan has to be (at the very least) considered on any greatest guitar players of all-time listing.

Click pic for more info on SRV

You can say that Imagine Dragons have been on a major tear since 2012 (understatement). They are one of the currently popular groups that are also huge on Byrdbored. It is rare, but it does happen. Since 2012, they have scored (18) Byrdy Dozen hits including eight (#1) songs.

As of this week, the band score their fourth (#1) album in a row with “Mercury Act I”. The album is certified Gold with the (#1) debut and they make it five straight albums with a Gold or better certification.

George Strait is without a doubt one of the top Country legends of my generation. Although most of his early music was completely ignored by Byrdbored until the 2020 Vault Charts started, he is making up for lost time.

This week Strait scores his third Vault (#1) Album in the last 19 months as his 1983 album, “Right Or Wrong”, hits the top of the Vault Albums Chart. The album is certified Gold and should continue the momentum on the Vault charts for King George.

Click pic for more info on George Strait

I must admit this year is the first time I have given For King & Country some serious listens. The Christian Contemporary duo have been very popular within their genre for many years. Their first album, “Crave”, was released in 2012, but for whatever reason their last album, “Burn The Ships”, is the first one to really get my attention (even if it is a little late since it was released in 2018).

This week “Burn The Ships” moves to (#2) on the Vault Albums Chart and is certified Gold in the process. This album has really hit me hard lately and has many great songs including the current Vault Christian Contemporary top song, “Amen”, which spends a fifth week in that position. “Amen” also moves up to (#5) on the Vault SongByrd 60 which is a new peak for the hit.

Click pic for more info on For King & Country

As far as single certifications this week, Dua Lipa is the head of the class as she scores her second (#1) Byrdbored hit, “Hallucinate”. It is her fifth Gold or better song with her hit, “Levitating”, being her highest charter (so far) spending a month on top. “Hallucinate” still has some musical mojo left and could hit Platinum in the next few weeks.

Evanescence has incredibly been around since 2003 (at least on a major label). Their debut album, “Fallen”, is one of the highest ranked debuts in Byrdbored history and has been certified 11x Platinum on Byrdbored. This week the rock band score their 11th Gold or better single as “Better Without You” jumps from (#4) to (#2) to take over the top Rock song of the week. Evanescence has (15) Byrdy Dozen hits including “Better Without You” with (14) of those hitting the top five.

Halestorm is another Rock band that has been around longer than some realize. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2009 and has been certified 4x Platinum as of last week. This week their new single, “Back From The Dead”, is certified Gold to become their 14th Gold or better certified song. “Back From The Dead” is the group’s 21st Byrdy Dozen hit.

Genesis was a huge trio for Byrdbored in the 1980’s scoring three (#1) albums which have been certified 15x Platinum collectively. However, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Any Banks began as a trio in 1978 with the album, “…And Then There Were Three”. The album contains “Follow You Follow Me” which hits the top of the Vault Singles Chart this week and is certified Gold in the process. The Vault charts should continue to help Genesis and their 1970’s (and early 1980’s music) get some chart love in the coming years.
